Justine Schofield: The Cook, the Guests, and the Commercials
The picturesque Australia has a gem in the form Justine Schofield, the Australian-French beauty who dishes out the most unique styles of easy-to-make meals. The 37 year old was made popular as a contestant on MasterChef Australia.
On her TV show, Justine's guests range from pâtissiers to her mother cooking savory French dishes. I discovered Justine on YouTube who at the time had videos older than six years, obviously older than that now. Her captivating smiles and giggles reminded me of Nigella Lawson, the British celebrity chef. The guests on Everyday Gourmet TV sometimes start out stiff, with the exception of Adam Swanson, her long time guest and friend and Garbriel Gate, but with Justine's assistance in either chopping onions, stiffing flour or grating cheeses with genuine curiosity whereby asking questions for herself and her viewers will ultimately create a comfortable atmosphere for those restaurant owners, company representatives or independent cooks that visit the show, thereby delivering delightfully bright and delicious looking foods.
Sometimes, the advertisements could be overwhelming, the list is endless, I'm talking Maldon Salt, Tefal products (I unashamedly use Tefal, it's just super), and other twenty-six products you can find on their website. Anyway, they are quality products, so I cannot complain, but it's just in your face, well, as long they they keep on bringing the whole roasted flounder with pippies (South Australian clams) and butter herb sauce, I'll be tuning in.
Now my introduction of Justine to you is not just so you can think, "Oh another celebrity chef", it's her ability to draw you in, she's not trying to impress anyone, she's too authentic for that, she is really just trying to help interested viewers make their bellies full of deliciousness and it shows. The entire aura of the kitchen is extremely clean, tidy and bright, which I love by the way, and also reflects in her website. It truly accentuates her love for clear organisation, and food comfort and warmth in modified global meals. She's a must watch. The fact that she's still so young gives me such joy, because there is so much to look out for in the future.
Where can you find Justine? Well, right here.
Would you travel to Australia to taste some of Justine's dishes at her restaurant?
